Welcome to Accessibility North!

In January 2008, the Ontario government passed the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) which aims to give people with disabilities the same opportunities as everyone else in their day-to-day lives.

The Accessible Customer Service Standard was the first of five standards under the Ontarians with Disabilities Act(AODA) in Ontario.

Accessible Customer Service is not the “physical” accessibility of your business – it is a standard around how you provide service to your customers or clients.  It ensures the customer service needs of your customer or client with a disability is understood and accommodated by you and your staff.  There are 10 key requirements of this standard that business, not for profits and charities must meet by January 2012.

The compliance requirements are different based on the size of your business/organizations with higher compliance required for those with more than 20 staff.

We’ve taken a business approach to finding the most economic ways for your business to comply.
